With over 100 different types of cancer in children and teenagers, childhood cancers are considered rare diseases. However, they represent the first cause of death by disease in children over one year old in France and Europe. Indeed, each year, 2,500 children and teenagers are diagnosed with cancer in France (35,000 in Europe)<\/strong>. For 20% of them, there is only one and only hope: progress in research.<\/p>\n

In order to accelerate the fight against this scourge and to raise awareness among as many French people as possible, Imagine for Margo, the first association that finances research against pediatric cancers, is launching a new awareness campaign.<\/p>\n

Indeed, since 2014, Imagine for Margo has been conducting a major multimedia awareness campaign at the national level, entirely free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the media affected by the cause of childhood cancer<\/a>. This campaign, available on television, movie theaters, billboards, internet and in numerous magazines, takes place between January and February.<\/p>\n

Patricia Blanc, Founding President of Imagine for Margo: \u201cCancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children over the age of one in France and Europe. This figure is intolerable and we must all continue to mobilize in order to cure all the children and teenagers who are affected by this scourge every year. Thanks to this new awareness campaign signed by the Advitam<\/a> agency and disseminated thanks to the generosity of the French media and our partner MINDSHARE<\/a>, we can mobilize and raise awareness of millions of French men and women about this cause. <\/em>Together let’s win this fight for life.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

An emotional and impactful campaign<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As the result of a creative collaboration between the communication agency Advitam and Imagine for Margo, this new awareness campaign, entitled “The ‘Evolution”, takes the opposite view of the expected drama, moves away from the classic codes of the charitable world and offers an emotional and impactful campaign.<\/p>\n

The message is simple: \u201cDisease can happen to anyone, you have to fight to beat it. Together we can win this fight through research<\/em>\u201d. The proposed film shows the various stages in the life of a child, punctuated by a myriad of daily, light and beautiful moments before emphasizing cancer.<\/p>\n

To underline this message, director Alex Belorgey and chief cameraman Baptiste Jung compose a soft and sensitive universe. A game of capturing the rays of the sun makes it possible to envelop the scene and subtly give birth to hope.<\/p>\n
