103,000 EUROS FOR THE RESEARCH ON HIGH-GRADE GLIOMAS

  • Private collection without a precent for the paediatrics research team at the Institute Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France.

The collection by Margaux BLANC, that took place between August 2009 and November 2011, raised the funds for the paediatrics research team at the Institute Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France.

Donations reached 103,335 euros, from 446 donors.

A BIG THANK YOU to all our donors in this collection without precedent for the paediatrics research at the IGR, and the first ever private collection on the internet in France!

These funds have allowed the analysis of many tumor samples, that were on hold since 2006 because lack of funding.
The analysis have allowed to complete the biologic classification of high-grade gliomas and so contribute to a major advance in the diagnostic and treatment of the gliomas.

A clinical trial “BIOMEDE” will be started in 2012!
