Year 2024 will be particularly hopeful for all the little warriors who are fighting against illness. Cooperation of a new kind, partnership with major institutions, innovation, solidarity, the program will be dense and we look forward to sharing with you, soon, news that will allow us to move even faster towards a world with children without cancer . In the meantime, we’ll let you discover our priorities for the coming year.
FIGHT KIDS CANCER WILL GROW AND RESEARCH WILL ACCELERATE
The alliance of European associations and foundations (in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and the Netherlands) to finance research is lasting, thanks to FIGHT KIDS CANCER, created in 2020, of which we are co-founder and main financier. From 2024, the endowment of European FIGHT KIDS CANCER associations could approach our objective of 10 million euros per year planned for 2025. This is a strong message that we are sending to researchers in order to support them on the duration and to promote their ambition to cure more and better children and adolescents with cancer.
With FIGHT KIDS CANCER, we will focus on brain tumors with a dedicated European call for projects. These require considerable effort to better understand them, cure them with less toxicity and to advance a healing rate that has stagnated for too long.
We will also support a promising researcher and their team through our FIGHT KIDS CANCER & St Baldrick’s Foundation Grand Prize. The latter will offer an exceptional endowment of 1 million euros. The excellence of its research work, the qualities of its publications and its innovative ideas will be evaluated by a committee of experts. This major funding will be used to advance a critical issue to better cure our children’s cancer.
NEW INITIATIVES IN 2023 WILL BE REALIZED FOR EVEN STRONGER MOBILIZATION OF KEY RESEARCH PLAYERS IN FRANCE AND EUROPE
We will act within the framework of new partnerships and initiatives launched in 2023 to accelerate the research and development of new treatments. In the foreground:

- European consortiums
- Cancer Grand Challenge
- UNICANCER
We look forward to seeing these various initiatives develop in order to accelerate our fight against this scourge.
INCREASINGLY STRONGER COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS ACTIONS TO FIGHT AGAINST PEDIATRIC CANCERS
We will relaunch our awareness campaign from mid-January thanks to the valuable support of Mindshare, our kind-hearted media partner.
On February 10, come and join our FAST conference, dedicated to therapeutic innovation in childhood cancers (To register, contact us by clicking here). Researchers, companies, biotech, doctors, families, volunteers, donors. You will be able to discover and discuss the progress made and the initiatives that will better heal our children tomorrow.
Golden September 2024 will also keep all its promises. We can already announce that a very special surprise is being organized. Also, you will be able to meet researchers from the Gustave Roussy Institute during an evening dedicated to you. You will learn more about their work and the progress achieved over the 10 years of our partnership.
The numerous actions of the association, our partners, ambassadors and volunteers will make it possible to increasingly mobilize decision-makers and public opinion to prioritize pediatric cancers.
OUR COLLECTION AND WELL-BEING EVENTS WILL EXPAND
The association will be a partner of the GREAT NATIONAL CAUSE 2024 and our Children Without Cancer solidarity races will be certified by the Ministry of Sports.
One more reason to put your sneakers on during the Children without Cancer City race (May 30, Paris La Défense) and Children without Cancer at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud and connected as well (September 29, Domaine St Cloud). In addition, we will organize several actions around sport in and outside the hospital.
Our nutrition booklet “Eat? Not even afraid?“, distributed at the end of 2023 free of charge to families, will be accompanied by cooking workshops in order to make certain recipes as a family, and thus rediscover the pleasure of eating despite the treatments.
OUR STRUCTURE AND OUR GOVERNANCE WILL CONTINUE TO BE STRENGTHENED
To continue to develop and structure the association, we will be able to count in particular on the advice of our Strategic Orientation Committee, on our new coordinator of Fight Kids Cancer and on the recruitment of a fundraiser. Furthermore, we also hope that the association will be recognized as being of public utility.
In 2024, count on our determination to move the needle and move even faster towards a world with cancer-free children.
