SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH, 5.500 RUNNERS AND WALKERS WITH BIG HEARTS WERE GATHERED IN SAINT-CLOUD NATIONAL PARK FOR OUR CHILDREN WITHOUT CANCER RACE IN ORDER TO ACCELERATE RESEARCH AGAINST CHILDHOOD CANCER
In spite of the rain, the participants spent an extraordinary day with a formidable surprise at the start of the race: the aerial flyover by our godmother, France’s national air display team, the Patrouille de France. An intense and magic moment that carried a blue wave of runners and walkers just before their first strides!
Thanks to the generosity of 28.000 donors, we remitted a magnificent cheque for € 1,830,000 to the Gustave Roussy and the Curie Institute researchers to finance the MAPPYACTS and AcSé-ESMART programs. A new record for the Children without Cancer race !
A huge THANK YOU to the participants and the donors for their extraordinary engagement, to the Patrouille de France for their magnificent aerial overflight, to Vianney and Erza for their presence and their particularly emotional interpretation of John Lennon’s song, Imagine during the balloon release, to Christophe Dominici and Sarah Ourahmoune, godfather and godmother of the race, for their loyal support, to DJ Azaar that set a magnificent atmosphere after the race, to Jordane Saget for his beautiful GO FIGHT WIN mural painting, to all our partners ensuring that we were able to redistribute 100% of the donations to research and of course, to all the volunteers who helped us in the organisation. It’s thanks to them that this event was such a success.
