On Saturday, June 22, over 230 sport and classic car drivers gathered at the Château de Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard for the 8th Parisian edition of the Rallye du Coeur. Their goal was simple yet powerful: to drive against the leading cause of death among children over one year old in France and Europe.
At this inspiring event, each driver team proudly paired up with a young “warrior,” some even participating virtually. Thanks to an incredible outpouring of support and the boundless generosity of drivers, donors, and dedicated partners, an impressive total of €409,258 was raised to accelerate the fight against childhood cancer.
This extraordinary rally not only brought together passionate car enthusiasts but also infused tremendous energy into the battle against a devastating disease that affects 2,500 children each year in France. The roar of engines, the click of gears, and the screeching of tires on asphalt were transformed into a powerful voice and countless smiles for those fighting cancer daily. The drivers showed that passion and mutual support can transcend the limits of speed and distance to advance research in pediatric oncology. Each kilometer driven strengthened the determination of all participants to change the future and give hope to children battling this disease.
An Annual Event That’s More Than Just a Car Rally
This annual event is much more than just a car rally; it’s a symphony of solidarity, determination, and courage. Thanks to the unwavering commitment of everyone involved in this remarkable day, a giant leap forward has been made in this race to save innocent lives.
Patricia Blanc, founder and president of Imagine for Margo, expresses her gratitude to the Rallye du Coeur de Paris for standing with them in the fight against pediatric cancer over the past eight years and for bringing comfort to children and their families. Every year, this extraordinary event gives a tremendous boost to the battle against this devastating disease. Thanks to the funds raised, three research projects (at Gustave Roussy, Necker Hospital, and Armand Trousseau Hospital) will be funded, as well as four well-being projects. Additionally, a portion of the funds will be allocated to the 2024 Fight Kids Cancer call for brain tumor projects. Immense thanks go to Geoffroy de Susbielle and Ismaël Vukovic for their exemplary organization of the Rallye du Coeur, along with all partners and drivers who help us move faster toward a world where children are free from cancer. We also extend our deepest thanks to Gregory Galiffi, the event’s ambassador, and our honorary partner, the Garde Républicaine, for their steadfast support throughout the event. Together, we’ll keep up our collective drive and win the battle for life. GO, DRIVE, WIN!
Geoffroy de Susbielle, Director of the Rallye du Coeur, enthusiastically shared the results of the record-breaking Paris edition. This year, the rally made its first stop in Essonne at the prestigious Château de Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard, adding a touch of grandeur to the fundraising efforts. The outcome was spectacular, exceeding all expectations. Thanks to the incredible efforts of partners and driver teams, we raised over €400,000 to support childhood cancer research in collaboration with Imagine for Margo—a remarkable feat deserving of immense thanks.
It’s important to note that 100% of the funds raised during this exceptional day will go toward essential research projects that directly benefit children. We actively support a project on diffuse midline gliomas at Gustave Roussy, as well as a study on pediatric kidney tumors at the Armand Trousseau University Hospital. Additionally, we support an innovative study led by Necker Children’s Hospital on using 3D modeling that integrates nerve tractography in surgeries for childhood neuroectodermal tumors.
Well-Being Initiatives and Support for Children and Families
Simultaneously, the association will also fund well-being projects for children and adolescents with the funds raised during this incredibly beneficial event. The Rallye du Coeur will provide financial support for a full year of art education at Gustave Roussy, two unforgettable Dana Escape retreats for families, the creation of a relaxation space for parents at Bullion Hospital, and the completion of renovations on a parents’ rest lounge at Robert Debré Hospital, which began in 2023. The total for these commendable initiatives will reach approximately €270,000. The remaining funds will be fully allocated to the 2024 Fight Kids Cancer call for projects, focusing on brain tumors in children.
The rally was a phenomenal success, and we were honored to receive a symbolic check from the National Gendarmerie during an impressive motorcycle display. This year was exceptional, and we are already looking forward to another impactful edition in 2025.
The Rallye du Coeur will continue to unite car enthusiasts for a noble cause, building a brighter future for children affected by cancer.
