In Honor of Golden September: A Tribute to Margo
In celebration of Golden September, Patricia Blanc, our founder and president, has published a heartfelt tribute to her daughter Margo, who joined the stars at age 14 in 2010.
This book is a testament to their family’s journey, standing by Margo through her fight against cancer, capturing her resilience and the powerful message she left behind—a message that gave rise to our association, Imagine for Margo.
Some people, by their courage and determination, become beacons of light during the darkest times. Margo was one of those people.
Her life was filled with sports, lively conversations with friends, family time, and games with her little sister. But at the brink of adolescence, Margo was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor.
In just hours, Margo and her family plunged into the depths of the medical world, beginning a battle against a relentless disease, still incurable to this day.
A whirlwind of repeated exams and endless waiting rooms became the new norm for a family who, like thousands in France, faced a life-altering fight with illness.
Over 16 months, they lived with sorrow, fear, doubt, anger, and hope.
In this book, Patricia Blanc puts words to her family’s experience. Fourteen years later, encouraged by her youngest daughter, Floriane, and with the guidance of Emmanuelle Schaedele-Giroire, Patricia felt it was time to share her daughter’s story, resilience, and fight. The book is a gift to support other families enduring such pain.

In these pages, you’ll uncover the journey that led to the birth of Imagine for Margo and find a message of hope and love for all who have been affected by this illness.
This book is also a call to action. In the fight for life, we each play a role, and every gesture counts in the quest to overcome pediatric cancer.
Imagine for Margo: Striving for the “WIN” Margo Dreamed Of
During her fight (2009-2010), Margo launched an online fundraising campaign. She wanted those touched by her battle to donate in support of childhood cancer research, particularly for her type of cancer, so that no other family would endure what she and her loved ones faced. In total, Margo raised over €100,000, all directed toward research.
Her strength, her actions, and her words—”Go, Fight, Win”—turned grief into a meaningful quest. Through this message, Imagine for Margo was born as a promise to continue the fight of a young girl who only wished to secure a “WIN” for all children and teenagers affected by cancer.
Since 2011, Imagine for Margo has mobilized donations to accelerate the fight against pediatric cancer, the leading cause of disease-related death in children over one year old in France and across Europe.
We fund European programs to better understand pediatric cancers and develop treatments tailored, innovative, and more effective for children in collaboration with top cancer research centers in France and Europe.
Over 13 years, we’ve raised more than €20 million, co-funding 69 advanced research programs and supporting 119 new therapies, which have allowed over 7,200 children in Europe to receive personalized treatments.
Imagine for Margo also raises awareness among the public and has become a major force pushing for progress and hope for children and teenagers with cancer.
Furthermore, we lead numerous wellness programs in pediatric oncology departments, offering support to over 500 families.
