CHILDREN’S CANCER – “Very quickly we move from shock to combat” – Manon’s mother lioness

Anne cancer Manon

Cancer is still the leading cause of death from disease in children over one year of age in France and Europe. Every year, an estimated 2,500 little warriors begin their fight against this scourge. Today, we invite you to discover the stories of those who fight alongside children.

In 2020, Manon’s mother, Anne, discovered that her 8-year-old little warrior was suffering from leukemia. Following the announcement of this cataclysm, this lioness mom went into “combat” mode to support and help her child in this great battle.

Today, Manon has beaten cancer. This lively 11-year-old artist is now in 6th grade. She has been reunited with her friends and has resumed her life as a teenager.

Watch Anne’s testimony in the video below:

Like Anne, thousands of parents are entering the battle alongside their little warrior to beat the disease.

Childhood cancer: a scourge to be fought

Every day, 7 children are diagnosed with cancer in France. There are 100 types of pediatric cancer, different from adult cancers, which require specific treatments. However, a lack of funding and synergies are holding back paediatric oncology research.

European cancer research is essentially focused on adult cancers, as pediatric cancers are considered rare diseases.

Only 10% of children and adolescents in Europe have access to innovative treatments.

In order to change this situation, we are working on a daily basis to :

Accelerate research into childhood and adolescent cancer
Raise public awareness
Mobilize key healthcare players
Enhance the well-being of children, their families and caregivers.

By making a donation to Imagine for Margo, you are helping to advance the fight against pediatric cancers. Together, we can bring victory to the thousands of children who are fighting this disease.
