Saturday June 17, 2023, under a bright sun in the green setting of the castle of Dampierre-en-Yvelines, more than 230 drivers of sports and vintage cars gathered for the 7th Parisian edition of the Rallye du Coeur. Like every year, the big-hearted drivers of the first charity rally in France drove to accelerate the fight against pediatric cancers. Indeed, each driver taking part in this automobile event sponsors a child and raises funds.
In total, thanks to their exceptional mobilization, the generosity of the drivers, their donors, partners and sponsors, a check for €309,700 was given to the association. “A new record edition for the Rallye du Coeur de Paris which continues to grow and accelerate research against childhood cancer alongside Imagine for Margo” Geoffroy de Susbielle.

RALLYE DU COEUR PARIS: 100% OF THE FUNDS COLLECTED BY THE DRIVERS WILL FUND RESEARCH AND THE WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER
This superb check, deposited by the helicopter of the Fench National Gendarmerie, will support the CoBioRB research project. The latter aims at identifying genetic biomarkers to improve risk-stratified treatment in retinoblastoma. The main challenge is to identify children at risk of metastasis. Risk stratification is essential to reduce treatment and minimize late toxicity in low-risk children, while allowing intensification of treatment for higher-risk children.
In this project, the genetic and genomic characteristics of retinoblastoma subtypes will be characterized in order to identify biomarkers for the treatment of metastases. The results will be correlated with the clinical course. These biomarkers could help identify patients at risk of metastasis to reduce late effects of treatment in others.
At the same time, “well-being” projects for children and adolescents will also be financed by the association via the funds collected during this event. Indeed, the Rallye du Coeur will also finance a year of plastic arts for the children of the Gustave-Roussy insitute and the renovation of the living room for the parents of the Robert-Debré hospital.
